New policy for cross-region registration
Starting from June 17, 2020, the cross-district registration authority for domestic and foreign-invested enterprises and their branches in Shanghai will cancel the move-out process, and the enterprise can go directly to the registration (acceptance) organ of the place of immigration to submit the paper application materials.
The process of across-district relocation is as below:
1. The enterprise applies to the enterprise registration authority of the place where it intends to move in;
2. After the enterprise registration authority of the planned move-in place agrees to the move-in of the enterprise, the enterprise shall carry out the move-out registration with the original registration authority with the approval document of the enterprise registration authority of the planned move-in place;
3. After the original registration authority approves the move-out registration, the company’s files will be sent to the enterprise registration authority which the company to be moved to through the postal department’s confidential delivery
4. The enterprise applies to the enterprise registration authority of the place where it intends to move in to apply for registration of change of residence.
2. After the enterprise registration authority of the planned move-in place agrees to the move-in of the enterprise, the enterprise shall carry out the move-out registration with the original registration authority with the approval document of the enterprise registration authority of the planned move-in place;
3. After the original registration authority approves the move-out registration, the company’s files will be sent to the enterprise registration authority which the company to be moved to through the postal department’s confidential delivery
4. The enterprise applies to the enterprise registration authority of the place where it intends to move in to apply for registration of change of residence.
With the implementation of this new policy, all enterprises will have more autonomous right in the future. Where the services are good and government supporting policies are good, the enterprises can choose their registration locations more freely.
