There are 3 common types of visa for foreigner to enter China
I: Business
If foreigners want to enter China for business investigation and other business activities, they should first be initiated by domestic inviting units and apply to the Foreign Affairs Office for business invitation letter. After successful application, foreigners can apply to the embassy for business visa entry. If you need to bring your family members, you can apply for entry into China as an accompanying family member (husband and wife or minor children).
II: Employment
If a foreigner wants to enter China for employment, he/she shall first confirm the employment of a domestic employer. The employer shall apply for a business invitation letter from the Foreign Affairs Office and apply for a work permit notice from the Foreign Affairs Office. After successful application, foreigners can apply to the embassy for work visa entry. If you need to bring your family members, you can apply for entry into China as an accompanying family member (husband and wife or minor children).
III: Students visa
As a result of the new policy, no new foreign students have entered China since April 2020. At present, only South Korean students can re-enter China.

Foreigners who meet the requirements can apply for visas to enter China, but must comply with China’s public health measures, including a period isolation of 14 days after arrival.
