Wages will be raised from Jul.1st.2021!
The Municipal Bureau of Human Resources and Social Security recently announced that Shanghai minimum wage will be adjusted from July 1, 2021. The monthly minimum wage will be adjusted from 2,480 yuan to 2,590 yuan, an increase of 110 yuan; the hourly minimum wage will be adjusted from 22 yuan to 23 yuan.
Monthly minimum wage
Applicable to full-time employees. If the employee provides normal labor during the legal working hours or the working hours agreed in the labor contract signed in accordance with the law, the monthly wage paid by the employer shall not be lower than the monthly minimum wage standard.
Note:
This Municipality’s monthly minimum wage does not include the social insurance premiums and housing accumulation fund paid by individual employees in accordance with the law, which shall be paid separately by the employer. Overtime pay for extended working hours, mid-night shift allowance, summer high temperature allowance and poisonous and harmful job allowances under special working environments, as well as food allowances, commuting transportation allowances, and housing allowances are not part of the monthly minimum average wage. The employer shall pay separately.
Hourly minimum wage
Applicable to workers in part-time employment, that is, workers in the same employer generally work an average of no more than 4 hours per day and no more than 24 hours per week. The hourly minimum wage does not include social insurance premiums paid by individual workers and units in accordance with the law.
