Maternity leave is extended to 60 days, and parental leave is added
Today morning (November 25), the 37th meeting of the Standing Committee of the 15th Shanghai Municipal People’s Congress reviewed and voted on the "Regulations of Shanghai Municipality on Population and Family Planning.”
The content of this meeting is: Shanghai implements the "three-child" birth policy, a couple can have three children, and the identification situation is simplified. The children born before the remarried couple are no longer combined, and the maternity leave is extended from 30 days to sixty days. According to relevant laws, female employees enjoy 98 days of maternity leave for childbirth, and dystocia is appropriately extended. This also means that the maternity leave and maternity leave of female workers in Shanghai are added together, and there are 158 days of leave during the childbirth period.
At the same time, parental leave is added, and the regulations clearly stipulate: “For couples who give birth in compliance with laws and regulations, before their children reach the age of three, both parties can enjoy parental leave for five days each year. The salary during parental leave shall be paid based on what they are entitled to during their normal attendance.”
