Notice on Allowing entry to China of APEC Business Travel Card holders and Study Residence Permit holders and on Updating Visa Policies for Foreign Students

According to relevant arrangements, starting from 00:00 on August 24, 2022 (Beijng time), foreigners holding valid APEC business travel cards to engage in business activities in China and foreign students holding valid study residence permits do not need to apply for a new visa to China and could enter China with the above documents.

From now on, students who go to China for long-term academic education can apply for a study (X1) visa with the "Visa Application Form for study in China" (JW201 or JW202) and the school admission notice (new student) or the Back-to-School approval letter (old student).

Family members (spouse, parents, children under the age of 18, parents-in-law) of foreign students holding valid study (X1) visas or study residence permits, can apply for a private affair (S1 or S2) visa for family reunion.
