Adjustments on livelihood security benefits and minimum living allowances

According to the General Office of the Shanghai Municipal People’s Government, Shanghai will adjust the standards of unemployment insurance benefits and work-related injury insurance benefits starting from July 1st, 2023. The adjustment of the payment standard for unemployment insurance benefits is as follows: the payment standard for the 1st to 12th months is 2175 yuan/month; The payment standard for the 13th to 24th months is 1740 yuan/month; The extended payment standard is 1510 yuan/month.

 

According to the Shanghai Civil Affairs Bureau, Shanghai will adjust social assistance standards such as the minimum living allowance starting from July 1, 2023. The relevant standards for social assistance in this adjustment include the minimum living guarantee standard, the regular and quantitative subsidy target assistance standard for civil affairs, the support standard for special impoverished individuals, the assistance standard for minors under the age of 16 in families with the minimum living guarantee, as well as the recognition standard for income from low-income families in need of special assistance, and the exemption standard for income from employment in families applying for assistance.

 

According to the Shanghai Medical Insurance Bureau, starting from 0:00 on July 1, 2023, Shanghai employee medical insurance will enter the 2023 medical insurance year (from July 1, 2023 to June 30, 2024), and multiple medical insurance policies will be implemented to benefit the people, making it easier for the public to seek medical treatment and purchase medication, and reducing the burden of outpatient medical expenses.
